Welcome back to the series that dives into the stranger sides of sex and sexuality. This week we are laying down the rules. Sex rules that is. That’s right there are people out there that have rules for their sexual encounters and some of them are pretty strange.
Wait Listed
“If one of us is in the mood for sex and the other isn’t, we give the other 24 hours to ‘get in the mood’ before masturbating. This isn’t to stop masturbating—the purpose is to increase the frequency of our intimacy while giving one another a little space and understanding.” If having the energy for sex is a regular problem in your relationship, try mixing up when you’re trying to have sex. For example try getting your freak on as an appetizer before going out to eat, so you aren’t full and lethargic once you get into bed.
Facial Foreplay
“It was like a rule. She would not open her mouth for oral unless I slapped her in the face with my dick. It didn’t have to be hard, but if I didn’t do it she would just keep teasing me and refuse do actually do anything else.” Not all rules will be adaptable. Chances are if your partner has a weird rule that the will not ever budge on they may have a fetish, ask them about it if you’re uncomfortable with the rules in your sexual relationship.
Perfect lighting
“My husband and I have a few rules in the bedroom: no socks, the lights can’t be too bright or too dark, and no TV in the bedroom—at all! We actually received a TV for our bedroom as a gift from our parents and ended up giving it back. The bedroom is for bonding, sex, and intimacy—not watching TV. Also, no answering phones if they ring during sex!” Lighting is actually a pretty common disagreement between couples during sex, if you’re feeling confined by lighting rules try compromise. Maybe bright lights are a problem, but candle light, or early morning light would be okay.
