In case you’ve never heard of it Cosplay is a way to play with identity through fantasy. It is also a way to play with gender and sex, and control and subvert perceptions of a person’s identity. Cosplay is similar to role play, however, once in costume the person does not break from that role they aren’t pretending anymore they become the character they are portraying.
